'87 RX7 Race Car For Sale

https://www.ebay.com/itm/35573990904...Bk9SR5T1t-WBZA

This seems like a reasonable deal. This is very close to my house too. If I had a truck, trailer and some cash... I would consider this. I feel that if the sale is going to go through there will need to be more details though. Some of you can look at this and be able to tell, I can't.

From the Webpage:ITA Spec 1987 Mazda RX-7, raced twice since purchase. Refreshed in 2014. Lots of spare parts - see photos. Selling AS IS. No title.

VIN: JM1FC3327H0538058

Running:

Driving:
  • 13B Rotary engine, Roger Mandeville built
  • 2 Transmissions (spare needs rebuilt)
  • Exedy Stage II clutch
  • Racing Beat headers
  • Full cage
  • Halon fire suppression system
  • Fuel cell
  • Auto Meter gauges
  • 2 Radiators
  • Ultra ignition wires
  • Logbook
The driver seems a bit timid with the throttle, perhaps its loud. What says you? What is this car? S4 with S5 parts? It says ITA racing, isn't that is for 12a engines?

It would race ITS in SCCA. Or convert to GT3 or other class with some additional mods. I think it would race ST5 in NASA.

Looks like an awesome car at that price. That cage looks great. Body looks straight. Roger Mandeville engine! It probably has a shorter geared diff too.

Thank you for the reply. I kinda figured the price was good. Buying the parts to build and time involved, plus the extra parts included.

Honestly, I am not surprised you mentioned the cage is good. There are many decades of knowledge welding these in the region. We used to have more interest in dirt track racing here. I would see sprint or late models around in the 80's. We still have the tracks, just not many locals are involved around my area.

We now have a track close to here for asphalt racing. Both major clubs race there. I might throw my hat in the ring and get some training. I am a just an average driver. Some training would help with the advanced turns.

Hopefully a forum member buys this so I can see it again.
