Hello guy i have had some time to look around to see what is needed to do this swap in the FD and i have mate that is up for it with is right hand drive FD i will post pics as we go along

NoRotors.com seems to be the best place to post swaps like this, not a ton of support for them here (I have a 1jz VVTI swapped FD). I am in to see how you work the steering rack. I initially bought a 2jz but could not get any decent ground clearance of the oil pan and fit the engine under the stock hood. Additionally I did not want to lower the steering rack very much.

i unbolted the rack and it is sitting out the way for now.I will get to it some time soon

Are those cross bars welded on the subframe flat bar stock or square tube?

Are you planning any more bracing?

You will need to do quite a bit more bracing to the subframe than that.

the bar stock that i used was 11/2x1 with a 1/8 wall that is twice the size of the OEM stock

had a good week with this one got a lot of work in

While it may work, even if it's thicker, the way it's just welded onto the bottom of the stock subframe end is not as strong as the original stock piece. I absolutely wouldn't leave my car like that. At least gusset some small triangles from the new flat piece you added in to the caps you welded onto the stock subframe where you cut it.
