Those look alot like what I came up with in my FC.

I just finished my wiring last night and started it up for the first time. Came to life on the second crank of the starter.

I recalibrated my tach and got the factory 1jz water temp sensor to read on my cluster the other night. My next step is to get the factory oil pressure gauge to work using a new fc pressure sensor.

Things are coming along nicely now, hoping to take it for a test drive this sunday.

My 1jz fc is running and driving! Unfortunately my ecu has 3 leaking capacitors Even with ridiculous overfueling, missfiring, and a high idle it hauls ***. Chirps 235's into third gear. I'm going to try my power fc tommorow night and see how that works ( Has a 335whp tune on it)

I'm really glad to see this project is coming together, as easily as it is.

This doesn't sound much like a conventional swap, so anything that goes without a hitch is awesome!

I've heard some really great numbers come out of 1-5J builds. When's that supposed to get underway?

when my 1j bottom end blows, a 2j is going into its place. Either the mounts or the hood are going to have to be adjusted to fit though

Check the link in my signature, I've beat ( as well as JTP and Dan and Martin of PSM) on my 1jz Fc pretty damn hard. With video!

I COMMAND THIS THREAD TO ARIIIIIIISE!

we need a really good wiring writeup for the 1jz swap. I recall sketch's build thread had some issue with the injectors not firing and he "bypassed" some stuff to get it running. we should have an appropriate wiring guide (diagram if possible but a tutorial too maybe). If I ever get to doing my 1jz swap I will write up my wiring but I'm no electrician. that might take years for me to get that far though idk.

Also, can anyone with the 1jz installed with tech 2's swap kit measure how far down the back side of the highest point on the valve cover is on the firewall? like from top of firewall to where the top of engine is. That way I can see when I make mounts if its sitting as low as it can go. I haven't heard anything of the trans mount so it seems that bolts right up with no issue or need to modify.
