turbo rotary sand rail

so a customer approached me on building a motor to replace the tired unit currently in his rail. his goals seem rather simple, but i figured i would see what setups and horspower the community has to offer. i just want to see what suggestions people have before i start ordering parts. thanks !

i'll clarify.... currently its powered by a 13b, fitted with a cartech? turbo setup (turbonetics turbo, air to water intercooler, cartech bov) but internally this motor is toast. i dont know what kind of power levels these things run so i dont know what to build for. he doesnt want a super peaky motor and 250 hp at a lower boost and rpm level for longevity. is 250hp alot for a rail? seems low to me .

Heck if 250 is all he wants then build him a stock motor. A 3rd gen 13b makes around that much out of the box, with his current set up he should be making 300+ hp. The motor I over heated last year came out of a Sand Rail, stock 13brew t04 turbo made 315whp at 10psi.

Yeah 250 is a bit low I think, do a mild street port and keep the same set up.

Sounds like I know this guy. Float shuts the needle/seat every jump which causes fuel starvation.. hmmm.

Lemme guess, early 4 port engine, 9.4:1 rotors inside built in CA...

See those blown up all the time here..

yep after a quick glance it is a early motor , dont know origins. honestly its the first rotary rail id seen. never played with them thats why i dont know loads and demands on the motors. any idea on the turbo setup?

Any Trim To4E will work for those power levels. We usually stick s4 turbo rotors in those engines, that with water alcohol keeps them running. If you don't do fabrication and are looking for a " kit ", we can build something.
