the engine your referring to is a savkel sp440 engine 440cc single rotor made by israel in the 70's. air cooled but have a conventional oiling system with a pump sump and oil metering injection. 7.6:1 compression, they are not cheap and are very well sort after i paid over $1000 usd for mine, pics below. i also have a workshop manual for 1 and can copy it for you should you buy it. beware though as there are differant types the recreational type produces 30 bhp and the industrial type produces only 22 bhp

would one of these be good for a go kart or mini bike? i would love to have a rotary pocket rocket or some thing like a that. the only motor i know of that would work is way to much money.link but this is closer to being a real world budget motor for one.

Hey I built that savkel engine here it is running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIbV9w4fRGg&NR=1
I just got my current savkel running the other day, I had never had it running because the cdi was shot, and while I was stripping the old wiring of the honda mb100 in preperation for the sachs km3 wankel conversion I decided to try and adapt the honda cdi unit to the savkel and it worked a treat started first pull!
