I finnaly made it back home for rr so it is time to start the work on my rx2. I just finish dropping it off for the body work and paint. By the time i get back again it be painted.

Thanks, finally made it to my camp after a long 3 days of travel.

 

Well after 6 month it is showing progress. It has been sand blasted and sealed. Body work continues.

 

Is taking some time but it is coming together.

Thanks you all. As for color not sure. I was between black, blue, orange but nothing selected as of now still looking.

 

Is that a carbon fiber hood I spy?
What supplier did you go with? Were they easy to deal with?
What are you expectations for how the carbon fiber hood will look once painted car color (I noticed it has been primed). In other words, will it hold color and luster with equal durability as the metal surrounding it?

Yes, it is CF hood. You have a good eye! I got it through ebay about a year ago. I can remember the supplier but I'll try to find info on it. The only thing I did not like about it was it did not fit to the curve of the back(latch side). A little to flat but it taken care off. As for paint once it is sealed and prime up they should not be any problem matching the rest of the car.

 

THX for your input on the CF hood. If I go that rout there are several vendor choices. DeftRacing seems to be the lowest cost. They're out of LA.

 

Glad to see another Rx2 being saved...the R100, 2, and 3 are some of the coolest cars. Good Job on your car dude! Looking forward to seeing it done!

How time fly's, After two year it almost ready for paint.

 

Any pics of your progress? Time does fly, it's been almost 2 years since my project was painted…. still putting it back together… lol.
