I know, and I can't get them to work, nor did I want to spend any more time on those stupid pictures.

When I uploaded them, they worked for a few hours and then crapped.
happened with both posts

They are uploaded in the same folder, and all the other pics work...
I'm done, maybe somewhere in the future I will have time to spend on my website so I can put them up there, but I also don't see that happening any time soon...

haven't been on the forums much, so i here is a long awaited update.
still need to make decent pics and update all my albums.

long story short, car is nearly finished!

need to put on the wheels and mirrors, and it is visually done

ne4ed to get the intake manifold, exhaust and drive shaft made, but it looks like i will be able to drive it in the summer

more to come...

thanks

yeah its probably the only one in the entire country...
i paid a pretty penny for that one, but it suits the car so well that it is totally worth it!
but in all fairness, that amount is peanuts compared to the total that this build owes me

In our small country it was really dense with dealerships in the 70's and they all had a mandatory package of parts in stock, worth around 60k USD.
After 10-15years, a lot of them got rid of the stock cheap to anyone interested.
Others kept the inventory, but now after 40years they start clearing out.

There is Mazda club here that gets contacted by Mazda Netherlands that there is an inventory that needs to be cleared. We had a couple of swap meets with those parts, scored really big there

Other then that, talking to collectors and search online a lot:
EBay, yahoo auctions, forums and facebook.

In the years of the FD, there were way less parts in stock at dealerships, cause it was cheaper to order them from Japan if needed, delivery was also a lot quicker by that time.

It's also addictive...
mine is almost finished and I'm still on the lookout for parts :p

Sorry for the long delay in updates.
i have to sit down for this with my laptop which is rare for me to do

long story short:

car doesnt run yet, few technical bits need to be sorted before i can try and start it.
the exterior is finished and i gave it a good clean and polish last weekend.
next weekend is the 20th anniversary of the Dutch RX-7 club where it will be put up for display

pics of the final result:
