Sorry for the delay mate

Had some serious setbacks, found out the body wasn't rocksolid like i thought..
The left siderail (dont know the exact English name) turned out completely rotted after prying away some underbody coating.
But that doesnt matter for the total project, it just affects the timeframe in which it wad all planned.

As for the engine, it will be built from my S5 TII engine that came out of the car i have owned for almost 8years. I was running it with a BNR stage4 turbo, pushing out somewhere around 400hp.
The engine was rebuilt over 10years ago and still running pretty strong with about 6bar compression

Defined Autoworks has calculated some port specs for me and will complete that with a matching header. They will be cutting custom porting templates for me.
primary ports--- Intake Open- 14 degrees ATDC / Intake Closed - 65 degrees ABDC
Secondary ports--- Intake Open 110 degrees BTDC/ Intake Closed- 65 degrees ABDC
Exhaust will be their race port configuration.

The intake will be a custom built heated inlet manifold that hold dual Weber 28/36DCD carbs.
Long small diameter primary runners for low-end torque, short large secondary runners for high-end hp
the primary and secondary are not connected to eachother, so the huge amount of overlal of the bridge will not affect idle quality and low-speed driveability.
Redline will be at 8500, because of the pretty basic build and everything is calculated to this spec. Higher redline is useless on a streetcar anyway

suspension will be a full gsl-se swap so it sits a little lower, have better brakes and a slip diff.
Also more choice in wheels with the different PCD.

Pics will come shortly, gathered a lot of parts over the last few months...

time for a long awaited updat...

i havent showed you guys much yet, but this is a summary of the last few months

i had a RA OMP adpater on my FC, but with the use of a different front cover it didnt fit anymore
also wanted to use the 4 port OMP of the S4 N/A, for premixing in the carbs and use the stock FC oil plugs on the housings.
so i built my own adapter to make it all fit

the FD alt used to sit on the side in my Fc but with the use of the 12A front cover it didnt fit anymore.
made a new one and flipped the alt for easier tensioning

with al the different gearing i will have, the speedo will be way off, so i needed to something about it.
also needed some new gauges and wanted them in stock location.
i replaced them all with a full Smith's Cobra series with programmable digital speedo

made some injector plugs

had to modify the FC shifter housing to make it to fit in the 4 chassis

plug for the speedo cable

view of the engine with the engine bracket, alternator and 2stroke oil tank

time to remove the old

mounted the engine subframe

in with the new

shifter location is right on the money

What are you planning on doing for a driveshaft? I want to do a 5 speed swap on my Rx-4 and I have a few spare TII transmissions laying around. Looks like a decent swap.

Looks good! I have to come and take a look when it's running!
Oh, do you know where to get the custom driveshaft yet? If your looking for a place to get it, there's a place nearby here that does great work with driveshafts, they also do dynamic balancing, they did my 4-rotor shaft too. Let me know if you need their adress.

Amazing. Looks like you have an excellent pallet to work with. Love seeing this. If I could only get home to spend time on mine (or any of the other multiple projects I've got in work!)....

Thanks for the update!

got hold of some awesome JDM goodness: SSR longchamps XR-4 wheels (for the RX-4, what's in a name )

front 15x7,5 ET5

rear 15x7,5 ET-7

rear wheels won't fit, but i have to modify the rear axle anyway, so i will be narrowing it 7mm on each side so it will fit perfect!

to be continued

Just know, that while you are 'struggling' to find time to make progress, there are tons of guys like me who aren't even at home to touch their projects. We are enjoying your posts, and wish we were the ones posting their own progress. Keep going. You are an inspiration to the rest of us.

yeah, i know... but for me progress is slow

i've had so much more time in the past to work on my cars, work is just taking it all up at the moment.

but there is more progress

scored some NOS centercaps in Japan for my wheels

got some small amount of spare time that i spent on my dash unit.
i had done this before, but since i have a LHD car now, i had to do it all over.
but this time even a better version, because i kept the stock circuitboard intact so it will make it a lot easier to connect it to the stock wiring loom later on!
