Oh excuse us. I thought this was a forum of discussion? I didn't know we were not allowed to discuss a simple matter of location unless we used the PM. Of course I understand that keeping track of all the post in the "other rotary" section must be extemely time consuming for the moderator. Sorry

Calm down rxrotary! This is a forum and people are allowed to talk about this kind of stuff. If you don't like what he's talking about, then don't post!

Oh yeah, repuguru - Do you still have that REPU you wanted to sell? Reason I ask is that I'm trying to find something to do some hauling and I was thinking of either the REPU or a Subaru. Let me know, TIA.

repuguru 05-23-02 08:06 AM

Yes I still have it.

85RX7GS 05-24-02 08:05 PM

Does it run? How rusted out is it? Do you have a site where I can see pics of it? TIA!

85RX7GS 06-08-02 07:15 AM

Pictures?

repuguru 06-15-02 09:51 PM

I am sorry for the delay. I have been on vacation. I will get some taken tomorrow.

OK, cool. PM them to me or I'll give you my email.

I have always loved the REPU. around my way I couldn't find one so I build something similar, never the same but similar. I used a 1988 B2200 mazda Pick up. Used a turbo II drive train, ported the engine, secondary gsl-se injectors, front mount intercooler, garret To4 turbo, homemade exhaust manifold, turbonetics wastegate, and some other gooddies. The truck Ran 12.48 @108 mph @9psi of boost on street tires. If that wont pull your landscaping equipment around I dont know what will. If you want to see pics of the truck Ill have vosko help me post a pic. Im not good posting pics. but its a sharp truck, even has the turbo II hood scoop modified to the original hood.. That's my version of the new and improved REPU..

I remember seeing that vid that vosko did of your truck. Pretty cool!

If I had anything to do with working in the research and development department @ mazda you could bet I would be pushing to have Mazda build a special edition 13Brew turbo charged REPU. 9k RPM gauge, factory boost gauge, factory EGT gauge, Ported and polished engine, better tranny sincro's and too top it all of 400RWHP @ 12psi of boost from factory:cool: I mean it could be done, I have done it and I'm just a little guy. Imagine Mazda with all the resources they have.....

I'm soon to be the proud owner of a '75 REPU. Fairly clean example, fresh motor, etc. It has a header though so I need to find a way around CA smog or put a bunch of stock crap back on there. What a pain.

Anyway, I'll post pics when I get it.

Anyone know if there is a REPU for sale in southern california? Just how difficult is it to find parts for these wonderful wankel trucks?

REPU for sale? Find parts for a REPU? Hahahahahahahaha!!! Mine is always for sale if somebody offers me enough :) Luckily I haven't needed anything yet that I couldn't scavenge off of a 1st or 2nd gen RX7 or find something that fits 'close enough' from the local parts store. For things like body panels and trim pieces the Ford Courrier seems to be the best bet.
