Yup. Lots of little stuff. Sorry, been lazy about posting. Almost done with the electrical pre-wire. The pannel welds to the inside of the firewall, under the dash. Made it removeable, so any additions or corrections can be done outside of the car. I hate wiring under the dash.

Finished reinforcing the TII clutch fork....https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...26#post8504726

Based on our visit, I also made the flange for the crankcase vent-to-catch can.

Finished the plug wires.

Also made the mount and plumbing for the wastegate solenoid. I'm still waiting on some earls seperators/clamps to tidy the hoses up a bit.

I forgot the best part! We also welded in two EGT bungs.

13B-RX3 08-29-08 09:49 PM

Did you ever decide on a gauge? Just buy the probes and a converter and you can datalog with your E8.

13brenova 08-29-08 09:57 PM

Haven't decided yet. I'd like to have a gauge (I've got an extra spot in the center guage pod we made) and the ability to datalog. I need to do some looking. Suggestions?

this project is an abortion. lol i cant wait for you to take that thing to the race track and have all the v8 guys laugh at you while you run 15s in this thing. hell even the import guys will laugh at you. the whole reason people put v8s in rx7s is the chassis rocks but the rotary is a POS. youve gone and put a POS motor in a POS chassis.

I don't get why if you hate rotaries so much why are you always on this website??????

This guy has put alot of quality nice work in this project and all you can say is this bullshit. Not cool bro. I am not a big fan of off brand engine swaps but I can at least admire a good quality job. And at least he's not ruining an Rx7 by putting in a POS LSI boat anchor.

drex13 08-30-08 12:01 PM

hey man, GREAT job!!!! this is high quality work you've done. hope everything comes out like you planed.

DelSlow 08-30-08 12:07 PM

Wow, what a giant fucking douche. Must feel great knowing 'bags like Hemi spontaneously bunch their panties upon seeing the project. :hahaha:

I've been keeping tabs on your build and that compliment coming from you is the second best compliment to date. Gonna have to try a little harder to beat out LILHEMI though.

Oh yeah, then post some pics of your rx7's, instead of that POS chevy reject sprint shitbox of yours. Talking about sheep mentality- That's fricken funnier than hell coming from a guy who is running a piston moto- baaaaa, baaaa, baaaaa.

All, I ever hear from you is negative bullshit. Your like that guy Rice Racing that trolls around looking for shit and only post bullshit and don't give any kind of positive feedback or comments to this community.

I really don't know how Doc Holiday can be your friend. You guys are total opposites- He's cool, your a prick. And at least he's not a sheep like you to slap a piston motor in a shitbox like everyone else out there.

So, if you still want to talk shit, why don't you come over to the drag racing forum and post some pics of your shitbox set up and talk shit on rotaries. I know everyone in that forum will tear you a new asshole. F-ing jackbag

hey jackhole instead of running your mouth why dont you come up and run my car? your in cali so its not that far. come on "bro" say $500 to start? put your money were your mouth is and make it happen.

13brenova 08-30-08 10:52 PM

LILHEMI,
Normally, I appreciate a little negative criticism. In the end, it helps me build a better car. Even when 2cute voiced her dislike for the swap, she did it in a respectfull manner. It's clear by your approach that you just want to raise hell and get attention. Let's leave the comments to folks who have something constructive to add and take the playground bullying to another forum.

MadChad 08-31-08 10:33 AM

The ignore list is a great thing for a-holes like this that cant find their own form. welcome to my ignore list LILBITCH---MadChad.

could you go into more detail on the first pic on the left? Im really more interested in what the column on the left side of the plate just above the relays are? Are they grounds?

The three distribution blocks are power (top), ignition(middle), and ground(bottom). Just makes things a little more organized and serviceable in my opinion. Also makes adding more circuits later on much easier.

Just got back from the body shop. I made the 8 hour round trip, to weld in the battery mount and the electrical pannel mount. Things are coming along slowly, but it is looking great. He's almost ready to spray the undercarriage and jam the car. Looks like another month or two.

To the OP,
Sorry for the distraction, it just annoys me when closet homo's bag on peoples projects for no other reason than the fact that their brain capacity is too limited to understand why someone would do something different than themselves. I give you props for doing such a project, especially one that invites stupid people who try to knock-it.

Haven't been working on the car much lately. Been out of town on business quite a bit lately and the evenings when I have been home have been spent welding oil field stuff at the fab shop. But......I managed to sneak in the new oil cooler mount. The old one would have worked fine, but I think this one looks nicer. Hopefully this weekend I'll run up to Lockney and put the subframe and rear suspension on the car. It all depends if Andy has the underneath painted and everything jammed.
