Looking awesome, hope to see it this summer.

Start conditions can be hard to figure out! I had a hell of a time finding the right settings on the Haltech.
Today I drilled the MSIII harness disconnect Attachment 531699 And brushed the intake with brass wire, finished with WD-40. Thanks Jesus for the the fine tuning on the rail fitment. I'm thinking I need to switch to a braided AN inline (series) fuel setup instead of this parallel hose nonsense. Way too much junk. Attachment 531700 |
Got the replacement intake manifold ready for wiring.
Brushed the dynamic chamber with brass brush and finished with WD-40. Totally knocked down the bright shiney effect of the stock casting, so now it matches the VDI and lower manifold much better. This was the exact effect I was going for, i'm so stoked! I'm loving the raw aluminum look with the contrasting high polish. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1399713691 https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1399713691 |

Got my car back from the body shop Before After
|
Purchased a OS Giken Super Lock LSD for the FB today.
Product MZ072-HA RX7 SA22 13B MT only NA model only And almost finished the fuel lines for the EFI. |
Removed the bumper and fender to take in for a re-spray tomorrow. Really need to repaint the whole rig, as there are 30 years of dings, dents, and paint fade, but this will get rid of the two largest blemishes on the car.
I'll finally feel like it's presentable as a show-quality car. Now to get it running  |
Been awhile since I posted anything about my car. Be awhile before I release a big update though.
Got some brakes though. Wilwood 14.25" 6 pot 13" 4 pot aerolite calipers. Just threw a caliper, rotor and a wheel to see how it looks. http://imageshack.com/a/img843/1407/8vhkc.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img837/8900/wdb9.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img842/1401/g1pvw.jpg Thats a RPF1 off my RX8; 18x9.5 +45 285 RS3, that I used as a reference. The caliper might look a tad off. I didnt have the right thread pitch bolts to secure them to the brackets. Will have the proper hardware this weekend and will mount the rears. The rears DO NOT work with factory cable e-brake. |
2.5 hole in the engine compartment drivers side, starting the wire tuck process to keep the engine compartment nice and clean.

Slammed - nice man! Where did you drill specifically? Doing a bulkhead disconnect?
Yesterday I terminated and sheathed all the engine harness, today I will terminate the bulkhead passthrough, wire up cas and ignition. Last week I placed an order for a Rockauto radiator, last night I get an email from them stating that they haven't received payment and won't ship til they do . As it turns out, you have to click a link in the order confirmation email to ACTUALLY place the order. So dumb! I'm having the worst time with radiators for the FB. The two eBay specials I tried didn't fit, and I just read that even the OEM replacements from Atkins and Rockauto (the very one I ordered) don't fit! I don't understand how all these companies can sell direct-fit replacements that don't fit at all! The last one I tried had the lower hose tube pointing directly at the engine mount. |
I got a spectra radiator from rockauto and it fit perfectly. You're just a magnet for bad luck lol. Or bad information. Where are you reading this stuff anyway?
|
I have horrible radiator karma. Not sure how I accrued that. We'll see how it fits when it arrives in a few days :)
|
Wire tuck completed, pulled harness wire through frame rail...see how that works :-)

More wire harness work and.......this arrived on my door step.....
Christmas came early, now just need to order some new bearings and bust down my spare GSL-SE rearend for complete make over. http://www.osgiken.net/products.php?product=lsd |
I was given a Rx S4 turbo, and Audi S4 intercooler today. I am now having the bad idea of putting said turbo on my carb'ed S5 6 port with a Webber 48 side draft.

Getting ready for Old School Reunion! I REALLY hope to have it running in time.
Today: Crimped & Soldered up all the fusible links for the voltage sensing wire and battery charge wire, the final components to the power grid! Got a few spares to tuck in the storage bin emergency kit. Terminated the CAS and tucked the wires, its looking cleaner every minute! Spent 2/3 the day calling shops in Seattle trying to get someone to tap my primary fuel rail to accomodate 1/4npt adapter for my new fuel system, which I also ordered. -6AN braided fuel line with black and silver hose ends. It was expensive, but in under 100 miles I managed to completely bake the "premium" efi hose from O'Reily's, have had 3 fuel leaks, and the sanctioned EFI hose clamps have backed out continuously. I'm done playing with fire, I've spent too much time and money on this project to see it go up in flames. Time to do it right. Here's the diagram, the blue arrows point to the last piece of the puzzle, how to get that -6an onto the factory fuel rail. at this point i'm thinking of getting -6an male tapered fittings to have someone weld on. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1401784832 |
