Rotary Meet near Everett or somewhere.?
 

I was thinking someone or some of us should start a rotary meet near like everett or more north..? or if there is already some that i dont know about PLZ let me know :).... if some of you guys are down.. lets get a bunch of us Rotor Heads and start some little meets up north? i dont know just an Idea.. /

i was thinking maby Legion Memorial Park in the north end of everett.. thats where i meet LinuxHead to borrow the Rotor Housing and Rotor and e-shaft. and they actually had a nice park and like tabbles and even an under cover picnic tables.. .. if you wanna bring family they had a big playground for the youngsters... :) Great View. nice grass lol.. but maby we could have like a BBq or something? i dont know if you had to reserve it or not.. but i can look into it.. and ill check the weather like aweek or so before one weekend.. and meetup on a nice weekend. so i dont know give idea's if a BBQ dont sound good?

Well, our crew really only represents the "south" end... More like the Edmonds area. Regardless, it'd be fun if a bunch of rotards showed up. :)

i was doing a little research about the place.. i only see something about paying money or renting the under cover place.. there is out out door picnic tables surrounded by nice grass.. so if one of us brought a BBQ ( if someone drives someothing to fit one in lol.. or they have some out side (they are pretty chared..) ( ask LinuxHead) hes seen it.. it is a pretty nice place.. .. soo.. like i said ill keep a look out for a nice day on the weekend.. what about this weekend if there are any nice days.. who would be able to make it on Memorial Weekend>>? or that might be to soon.. it would give me something to do.

I'm sure I could scrounge up a trip permit to hit up the park this weekend.... However, for those other guys who represent the "south end" why don't we meet up at like Golden Gardens or Alki or somewhere BETTER than those that might have parking for all of us... If anyone has any ideas... What about that park off of 196th in Lynnwood? Or maybe somewhere in Shoreline...????

Seattle north or east
 

I would make it to an event or meetings in the Seattle Tacoma Everett or Bellevue areas.

I have been to a few of the Olympia meetings and there are several things that help make them cool.

There is the lot for everyone to park together and look at all the cars. There is an indoor meeting room with food avaible where we can talk and show video about past and upcomming events without disrupting others or being disrupted.

For an event, I suggest an Alki and Golden Gardens cruse starting or ending at Lake Sammimish State park (lots of room to park, picknick, & swim). I will go check the xxx root beer in Issaquah for mazda/import events to coordinate with.

HAHA if so wow that beach brings back memorys lol... :( umm that does sound good to me.. :) ( although my car is nothing good to look at till i get a paintjob. lol grey car with white body kit :) lol i am painting it soon but probly not soon enough to have something to look at. ) but still it is a rotary so i could get ideas for body color from your guyses(spelling?) cars

I want to go!! Used to cruise Golden Gardens back in the day, talk about memories. . . I was at the XXX in Issaquah recently and I know they have lots of car stuff going on, I didn't notice any Mazda events only Hot Rods, etc.

Yea it's a OLD SCHOOL diner so they have OLD SCHOOL car meets all the time... Like BURGERMASTER. But yea when you guys get a date set let me know! I'll prolly roll out the FD for old times sake.

When I lived in Phoenix I was part owner of a motorcycle accessory store and involved in putting together a poker run to benefit CP. Every Saturday night a small group of us would ride to all the local biker bars to promote the run. What started out as about 3 of us turned into 20+. We dropped alot of money at those local hole in the walls and made their night. So, the point I am trying to make is why not find some place that isn't a popular destination, i.e. XXX and support them.

Some of you might have already read the thread for this, but since it looks like some of you dont mind driving a little farther south then you might want to join us. June 10th. We are meeting at Tacoma Mall at11:30 and leaving there at noon. We are then going to meet in Auburn at the long horn on "C" street for any of you who are north of us. We are then going to head thought the Black Diamond area on some roads I know that were fun on our Ninja's and stuff so I know they are fun in the cars. So if anyone is interested please let me know.

XXX is a old school burger joint in Issaquah just off the Front St exit of I-90... Pretty decent sized parking lot to host a meet and greet of sorts for us rotary guys

well i wanna make sure everyone can make it.. so.. the place is going to be the XXX. in Issaquah.. On the next sunny weekend.. ill lookinto the weather for this weekend.. wait wait wait.. i cant do it this weekend igot PROM.. :suitdance wOOT!! lol so not this weekend but the weekend of June 10th. :) according to weather... id say the Sunday the 4th but.. ill be broke and wont have any gas money lol. . if Issaquah is a little south for some people maby move it up north alittle bit.. let us know if thats to far south for you guys.?

old rides June 4th and Imports in July 2nd
 

XXX in Issaquah has Old rides car club show on June 4th starting at 8am. July 2nd is the PSTOC (?) Import Show again starting at 8am. So how about let's bring our 10 to 25 year old cars to check out the show from 12 to 2 and then cruze Alki to Golden Gardens back to Alki then to Lake Sammamish for a picknick. We can discuss what to different or the same for the import show at the picknick. I will check to see that alcohol is still legal in the State park.

What is traffic like at Alki? I haven't been there in years. Wouldn't it be better to meet in a less populated areas and admire everyone's cars before taking off to other destinations?

i dont know what Alki is like.. either do i know where its at lol.. but thats all good but.. i wanna get a set place but it seems like people dont want to meet at everyplace we choose lol.. i wanna choose a good place so everyone would want to go..

You can't please everyone all the time. My suggestion is someone take the bull by the horns, set a date and place and those who can will show up and those who can't will hear about all the fun that was had without them!

I know how cool it looks when a group of cars are driving down the road but with gas prices the way they are driving from Alki to Issaquah to Golden Gardens and back to Alki is a few miles. I vote for a place with a huge parking lot where we can walk around and admire and have a picnic or cruise to one place and back. That's my two cents worth.

Id show, but it would have to wait another week or so. Im waiting for all the coolant hardline gaskets for my turbos from Malloy, and my boost controller. After that, I should be able to bolt my car back together and drive it...after 7 months :/

Alright well my drive Shaft is fixed thanks to Twilight slide for havin an extra driveshaft for me to purchase :D i second the hole gas thing.. doesnt change the way i drive one bit either... so the people that are down for having a meet then going to see the movie where do you guys live so we could make it a reasonable drive for everyone.? i dont know where any of you guys are located.

i was looking in some of your guys' profiles and it kinda looks like Lynwood area might be near Half way.. between Marysville and Seattle. so what do you guys think about meeting at the new Loes Theatre by the Alderwood Mall ? is that little far for some people, to meet and go watch the new Tokyo Drift movie?
Meet before the movie ( later at night) and if people want to go for a drive night after the movie.. and go somewhere?
