Bit of an odd request here, I know. If anyone happens to have a lead on an automatic FD, I'd really appreciate it. It's for my dad (he's disabled, so five speed isn't exactly in the cards, unfortunately.) Just figured I'd put this out there and see.

Automatics used to be highly discounted on the Japan auction sites, if RHD would work for your dad.
They are often low mileage and well cared for.

Florida Bound?
There seem to be a number of guys in Florida with some experience importing. You could perhaps piggy back on one of their containers. Or perhaps contact Fritz Flynn.
Whatever you buy, perhaps budget $10,000 reserve for contingencies.

Man, I was hours away from buying this silver one out in Orange County. I had seen the ad at 5pm, confirmed it was still available at 8am the next morning, spent about an hour on the phone with local credit unions getting the best deal I could for financing, and then it was gone by 9:30 am.
