Bought this last year after unsuccessfully searching for a LS1 swapped FC for a very long time. I found the one I wanted, so the convertible is for sale.

1988 Rx7 Convertible
350 Crate Motor w/<800mi
Turbo 350 Transmission w/ <500mi
Headers
Edelbrock 650 4BBL
MSD Ignition
New (Cheap) Coilovers
New Wheels & Tires
Aluminum hood (scoop removed)

Always an Alabama car so the exterior is very clean w/ no rust. It does have some dings, but nothing that PDR can't correct.
Interior is so clean, but it is missing some small trim parts.

Here's the scoop:
Old fella had owned and cared for this Rx-7 for years...possibly was the original owner (I've not run a CarFax).
Guy I bought it from purchased and enjoyed it for a while rotary powered until it began causing him fits. He wasn't mechanically inclined and he didn't take it to a rotary shop, so parts were thrown at it, but it still wasn't right. Mechanic convinced owner to let him V8 swap the Rx7. $9k later the Rx7 was swapped. Mechanic did the swap on his own without using the typical community information. All lights and signals work. Tach works, but not speedometer. It will make a really nice cruiser and has a good, solid drivetrain, but here's what you'll want to wrench on:

Transmission needs to be adjusted. It short shifts each gear and will not kick down. It does have a nice, solid shift that barks 2nd gear. Once adjusted, it'll be a hoot!
Needs a better shifter and linkage set up. It works, but needs to be redone correctly.
You'll want a better cooling system. Radiator may be adequate, but you'll need to upgrade cooling fan.
De-powered steering.
Driveshaft needs to be balanced. It vibrates at speed.
Convertible top is probably original. It stays down and has the cover. It's been used as a fair weather cruiser for a long time.

This Rx7 starts up immediately and run very well. Fantastic little project to finish up here at the end of winter and have ready for spring cruising.

Doesn't need anything pricey. I think it can be finished nicely for well under $1k.

$7000

I'd also sell as a roller if someone is interested in it for a LS swap.

Pictures and video are from early winter:
