Description:

This iron was part of my set that was intended for my upcoming rebuild.  The whole set was sent for lapping and hardening last year.  My 7 year old accidentally knocked the center iron over into this and put a few dents in the sealing surface.  The dents start at about 11oclock and go straight down to the opening for the stationary gear.  They are deep enough to catch your fingernail but not in the area where compression and ignition occur.  I found a replacement which is why I'm listing this here.  I have no idea if the damage would affect anything performance wise, but I just didn't want to take the risk with all my other parts being either new or like new.  I asked around some knowledgeable rotary folks here and elsewhere and got mixed opinions about whether or not I could still use it in my rebuild.  This is at least a candidate for practicing porting.   I'm asking $150 OBO with buyer paying shipping.

I can take more pictures if requested, but understand that this is in very good condition other than the dents in the sealing surface.  I included a picture with the rotor path traced over the damage points (dots) to see where there might be any interaction with the side seals (stationary gear is not included).
