Description:

Hi there,

After a long battle with my FD project (trying to get it back to daily driver levels), I have finally decided that it is time to sell it. It is a 1993 Touring, manual transmission, with a Greddy turboback exhaust and an Apexi air intake. The car currently runs & drives okay and is mostly stock, although it does have some manner of electrical gremlin that causes it not to run all that well at high revs (starts backfiring, doesn't regulate the A/F ration properly. Happens at the 5.5k-6.5k range). Turbos are stock, and have not been rebuilt to the best of my knowledge, though I did clean and inspect them around 1500-2000 miles ago. I have personally rebuilt the engine (has about 1500-2000 miles since rebuild, with high compression seals & rebuild kit from Rotary Aviation). It also has a Ralco Rz stage 3 clutch with about 2000-2500 miles on it, as well as some other minor mods (listed below). I am listing it on this forum first, as an homage to all the help and advice I have gotten from it working on this car over the years, as well as to hopefully sell it to an enthusiast who wants to do this car right and restore it to its full glory. It was always my goal to finish this vehicle myself, however, I have come to the realization that I don't have the time nor resources anymore to make that happen, and my motivation has waned too much. So, what you are looking at is a solid start, the car realistically only needs some electrical work, new tires, plus some cosmetic restoration (dents and dings, and it definitely needs a fresh coat of paint. The interior also needs some work, though it is functional and mostly complete), to be a great weekend cruiser or daily driver. This car is a salvage-rebuilt title, as a previous owner had run it up onto a median early on in its life which trashed the original motor and transmission (both of which were replaced before I came into possession of the vehicle). That said, the car has no structural damage that either myself or an inspector has ever been able to find, and the car aligns fine and drives straight. I believe at some point there was an incident that caused damage to the driver's side front fender, as there is evidence of repair work on it. Obviously, this car will never be a show car, but it has many great years and memories left to offer to whomever wants to put in that initial work to get it there.

Mods (and notable quality of life repairs):
- Ultima Cross drilled brake rotors (~2500 miles), rebuilt all calipers, ceramic pads from Cquence Brakes
- Rebuilt stock ECU
- new plugs and leads (~1500 miles)
- New water pump and thermostat (done at time of engine rebuild)
- replaced sensors (O2, fuel temp, oil sender, oil level, fuel pressure regulator)
- used oil metering pump
- New fuel filter
- Power steering pulley
- Duraflex FRP hood (not painted) (Not pictured)
- Megan racing adjustable coilovers (<1k miles)
- Aftermarket wheels (18", on the car when I bought it)
- Evo headlights (covers are not fully installed in pictures)
- Boost gauge, A/F gauge, turbo timer
- LRB speed aluminum skid plate
- new sway bar links (~1k miles)
- Aftermarket radio
- New serpentine belts (<1k miles)
- New Fuel and main relays
- New powered antenna

Cons:
- Salvage rebuilt title
- Needs some minor body work & full paint
- Backfires at high revs (this is an electrical issue, I have taken it up to redline without issue after engine rebuild, prior to the current problem coming up. This car would really benefit from replacing the main engine harness and getting a PowerFC ECU)
- Needs new tires
- Interior needs some cosmetic work
- Bose wave audio system works, but has some cracks and damage to plastics

As mentioned above, I want to sell it to someone on here, as I know the love people on this site have for these cars. As such, I am listing it here at a lower price than I would on a traditional platform because I want to see it go to someone who will care for it at least as much as I have (if you want to build it for track or whatever, I will still sell to you of course). I am willing to entertain offers, but the price is likely not going to change much. Apologies in advance if I am slow to respond to messages, but I will get back to you if you have any questions or inquiries about the car. Thanks for looking!

- Colin
