Description:

Hey gang, I've made the painful decision to sell my baby.  This car has been with me my entire life.  Pops purchased it the year I was born and we've had it since.  Very well maintained at the local Mazda dealership.  (Cool story guy that started as a mechanic ended up becoming part owner of the dealership while still working as mechanic and he's worked on it almost its entire life.)  The car runs and drives fine, it does smoke.  I believe it's due for seal replacements.  And this is where things take a small turn:  I want to remove and rebuild the engine but I just don't think it's ever going to happen.  I've removed the radiator and I'm at a stand-still and I think it'll be better in the long run in someone else's hands.  I just don't have the time or knowledge to do it and I can't stand the thought of messing it up.  Only changes the car has had - we put in a sun roof many years ago, we swapped to a 5-lug pattern, we did a Clarion tape deck and CD-changer and my dad put Recaro seats in it.  Otherwise bone stock.  Paint cleans up nice but of course there's a few dings and chips here and there.  Nothing terrible.  Carpet was replaced at one point so the cabin area is nice.  The piece of carpet in the hatch area that covers the back brake light area doesn't stay up.  That's all I can think of.  I have every single record of service  and receipt ever.  I just want a good home for her!

Didn't get a single response until meow! A little surprised, maybe I set the price too high? It is still available but the situation has changed a good bit. I found a place nearby with a guy that claims to know the RX line pretty well and he's going to get the engine out. At that point the plan is for the body to go to my buddy's warehouse for storage while I try to get the engine rebuilt. I believe it's in good shape but won't know until I get it open and see how the rotors look. If you're still interested after hearing that stuff we can talk more. I hate to let 'er go but I just don't think I'm going to be able to keep 'er and drive 'er any reasonable amount. Might as well send 'er to a new home if someone sees the value.
