FL wont idle/runs rough/random back fire please help!

Hey i have a 88 fc n/a 5 speed with full exhaust, cone filter and all that jazz. the car recently ran great got some clogged injectors so i decided to drop the tank, clean it and the injectors out and put it all back together.

now that its all back together its running like ****. it has a hard start, have to put foot in the floor to get it to start. when it does start it wont idle at all. it back fires and runs really rough. vibration and bucking.

i hooked up my code tester to the car and its throwing an unreadable code. i dont know where to go from here. any help at all will be appreciated!!!

thanks,
frank

Did you send the injectors out for ultrasonic cleaning?

just went out and tryed to start the car this morning and it fired up after alittle gas and it went through the normal cold start mode even with the car back firing and sputtering then once it went through cold start it fell on its face and wont idle again. could loss of fuel cause this and the backfiring/sputtering? also whenever i rev the car it shakes the car back and forth. whenever i had clogged injectors i had the same things going on but i know its not a clogged injector. anything will help thanks

Send them out for servicing. There's no guarantee PB blaster will dissolve whatever is clogging them. Gasoline is a very good solvent, and if it survived soaked in gas, it's probably going to survive your cleaning attempt.

I was working on my gsl-se today after removing and replacing the fuel pressure regulator that was leaking i put it all back together and my car was having a very roughf iddle, the only thing I had to do was adjust the TPS wich I found how to do on the forum. Now its back to normal.

i was thinking TPS but its more than just the idle. its sputtering and backfiring. i sprayed starting fluid into the intake and the car started to idle but was still running rough, once i stopped it died again. could this be MAF or still stuck on fuel? im going to go through the whole fuel system to see what i can find tomorrow..
