wiring of valves on Nikki
Hi all
I am begging your assistance. after reading many of the posts here, it is clear there are a lot of experts here on the Nikki. My application in this case is a little different, and i hope i dont offend anyone. we (me and the 3 teenage kids) are restoring a Holden VH commodore with a 202 red block with low compression blue head and stage 2 cam. I have installed an SC12 supercharger (off toyota mr2) blow thru into the Nikki. Note - oversized main pulley and electric clutch on SC so it activates by switch. I am totally lost at the electronic wiring of what i believe are the power valves and solenoids. there is 1 x 3 pin plug that cmes out of where the vac diaphram is - 1 x single wire coming out of a solenoid nearer the top - 1 x single wire coming out of similar solenoid nearer the bottom on opposite side (although the wire is missing on this solenoid, i hope its not important) in your opinions - in a blow thru application, what would be the best may to connect these valves? there is no computer - only permanent 12v or 12v from SC switch (will send 12v when supercharger is turned on. i greatly appreciate your advice / assistance. I honestly believe the info in your forums is the best i have ever found in any forum - from the most basis to advanced - very easy to read and understand. |
Argh...well, the single wire "coming out of similar solenoid nearer the bottom on opposite side " is probably the idle mixture solenoid....honestly, the Nikki is pretty much the same carb body, but there's quite a bit of variation in the outside solenoids and wires as emissions requirements changed throughout its service life...how about some pics or maybe the year Nikki you've got?
