I know i have to change my headers injectors and other stuff but how much can stock headers turbo manifold handle?

its a bit more complex , and its best if you could identify what ports it really is .

you can put those numbers out with the right tune . injectors , and turbo .

as for if you need to upgrade or not ... what do you currently have?

less clutter with the single

Single

Im a single turbo guy more power at top end:nod:

Gt35r is a good turbo but with a smaller ar than 1.00 you"ll drop some psi at 6k. Ive seen twins dominate uphill battles due to less lag. But if your daily driving with occasional fun. Setup your two step on ur Power fc and get a gt35r at 10psi before launch and see if that wont put a smile on ur face.

As for my opinion I like keeping cars as they came and improve on it. Unlike other fools dropping v8's on rotory cars and F-ing up the name of rx7 rotary and the weight ratio the car is known for

i would do a single since its a bit more reliable, and if you get a bigger single that will make way more power than 2 small twins

Does the single detract from longevity of the motor

It depends on your setup. If your using a hybrid turbo such as a gt35r having a smaller compressor ar wheel will pack a bigger punch of cfm as you hit boost and will loose psi as ur rpm nears redline . Thus it is recommended having a pcm that can compensate these lean conditions in the shortest time possible. Adding higher pressure can lead to premature step wear on your housings so like I said it all depends on your setup and how well things are lubed

Boost psi is often mistaken for cfm although their related in ways cfm is what will give u hp. In theory engines are essential giant vacuums to gain Hp is by adding more air molecules and compensating with proper atomized fuel for that stoic 14.7 A/F ratio

With twins you will have less lag but it limits power just a little single will give more lag but opens up the possibility of much higher horsepower it depends on what you prefer!

single ftw lol

I went single on my supra to clean up the engine bay. As long as you pic a reasonable turbo you will love it. Bigger is not always better. I went 6766 on my supra but maybe a 6266 would be better suited for you.

If you want alot more power go for single turbo. but then again you can still squeeze enough power on the twins to rape Evo's. I'd stay with the twins besides it sounds wierd saying, " i have an rx-7 fd single turbo " sounds way better saying you have an FD with twin turbos.

what will the car be used for? a huge single would suck in autocross, too much lag. and the twins would limit you at the top if you're looking for a highway runner. op needs more info
