What about the sunroof motor??

ITB4ag 01-29-09 09:28 PM

Gut it and rivet a piece of carbon fiber over it?

Make sure to use window weld all around the edges and in the rivet holes or you'll have a leaky sunroof delete.

The bare materials for doin this is about $75-$115 depending on where you get the cf.

Sunroof fix

Its likely in the slide mechanism, or the cable, if you clean and lube, but it still sticks, it could be the motor or the dive slipping. Mazda still has the motor, but its like $500 bucks for a replacement. Before you do that, check the voltage going to the motor, if its to low, that may give the same symptoms. If thats good, then you may end up needing a motor after all.

--If you do, I have one FROM MY '91, just let me know.
