Racing Beat exhaust fit 1986 N/A RX-7?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this Racing Beat exhaust Mazda RX-7 Racing Beat Exhaust!! - Edmonton Other Parts, Accessories For Sale - Kijiji Edmonton Canada. would fit in my N/A 1986 RX-7? The seller claimed that it would fit my car but I would like to make sure before I make a trip to Edmonton. I was also suggested by RX-7 Specialties to get a Racing Beat exhaust and they did say something about the turbo model...... I would greatly appreciate everyone's help as I cannot afford a complete brand new Racing Beat exhaust system and this would be a great alternative if it is compatible. Thanks!!

As a whole, no. If you remove the TII downpipe and replace it with a header or RB's NA downpipe, it can work. But that may be the full 3" REV-TII system, which would be an issue when trying to bolt up 2.5" NA parts. The standard RB TII exhaust system is 2.5" to the y-pipe.

Personally I would go for it,seeing the guy is asking Best offer. You can always modify the exhaust to fit.
It's not really a common thing to get RacingBeat in Canada unless you buy the system and have it shipped,or Pay through the nose at the Cdn Dealer(sort of a USD plus kind of thing).
I put a 2.5 inch header to a 3 inch exhaust. The flanges of RacingBeat give you some lee-way to do that, since they are roughly the same size outside.
You can always sell the extra part(maybe the presilencer) on forum,www.bcrotary.com or that Scamslist..I mean Craigslist.

I just asked the seller and he said that only the downpipe is 3" so I guess I will have to buy a downpipe somewhere else. I was also wondering if I would have to get a different presilencer or would that one be able to open up the 5th/6th ports? Thank you all for your responses I really appreciate it!!

The downpipe that HE has attaches to a Turbo, which you do not have.
The setup that you "should have" is a Racing Beat Header...maybe a cat.stock y pipe and cans.
NOW,the Setup that you "can have" is a Racing beat header,Turbo presilencer,Y pipe and 2 cans.
The Header should be S4 and have the tube to activate the 5/6 ports..BUT if you have a header that does not have it you can Tap it at the collector(where it has the 2 pipes going into the collector) and weld a tube there and it will give you back pressure to activate the ports.
NOTE:you may be able to get away with a RB header and 2.5 inch presilencer,Instead of the 3 inch one he has..
