Dirty wiring harness

Hey yall, I just pulled out my fc interior wiring harness because I am going to repaint the interior and I noticed that most of the wires are coated in oil. The previous owner must have spilled some oil or something, but I want to clean it without ruining the wires. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I’m what I’ve done in the past is soak in hot soapy water then i used purple power which I find to work great. If you have a air compressor or have access to one so you can air out the the pins or you can just set out in the sun and let it air dry. I’ve never had any problems in the past. Hope this help👍🏽

Dish soap solution should work fine.

I've been using contact cleaner oil to clean plugs that are covered in oil, works pretty well.
