so this so called mechanic told me there's a bad spot on the flywheel and when I asked him what he means he said there might be a chip in the flywheel and that's what's causing the engine to not want to start sometimes.

he also said that the clutch would have to be replaced also since the flywheel is going to be replaced. i think he doesnt know what the hell he's talking about.

is that hose suposed to be connected to that part ?

i was also told that the red top injectors are for the turbo engine and yellow top are for non turbo. is that correct ? if so, i have red top injectors, does that mean i have a turbo motor and the turbo has been taken out? i do have a turbo hood, wheels and a boost gague on the dash but those can easly be replaced. if anyone can answer this it would help alot. also if it is a turbo motor would my car be running rouhg because of a non turbo ECU? or could it be something simple as a vacuum leak?

i had mines run rough at speeds above 1500 rpm... turned out to be bad u-joint in my driveshaft.

That would cause the starter gear to just skip, and would be an obvious noise. The engine would not crank over, and when trying to start it you would hear a loud grind or whine. Then if you moved the engine a little by hand and tried again, it would turn over.

Yes. But since you have a set of headers, you don't have anywhere to plumb it. That hose is for the aux port actuators and needs to see pressure to open up the aux ports under load. They can be connected to the air pump to make them functional with an aftermarket exhaust. In the stock setup, they connect to the split air pipe and exhaust backpressure opens the ports.

No RX-7 came stock with yellow injectors, and colour doesn't matter anyway. The part number is what is important.

That said, S4 NA injectors have red tops. S4 TII injectors are tan.

No, no, no and NO. As I made very clear earlier in the thread, that is an NA engine.

What is the part number on your ECU? Should be N326 for an S4 NA.

I think your car has some serious issues that we are not going to be able to solve via the forum. Try posting to your regional forum for a local rotary shop.

The 326 is the correct ECU for that car.

ok i figured out the problem lol it was something very simple, the plug wires were on the wrong way lol i switched them and not it runs great :)
