Hey everyone, i’m new to this forum, this is my first post and recently bought a 1990 rx7 gxl with a bridge port. I need help identifying this port on my lower intake because i’m wanting to go back to fuel injected. please help me out if you can thank you! the housings are turbo ii if that helps any
If the engine is indeed a semi-pp, the round passages on the intake (between the oval ones) have been modified to provide additional air/fuel to the engine. This appears to be the case on your first image.
On a stock intake manifold - this location will have blank spots and/or coolant passages (the rusty looking hole in your most recent image is a coolant passage).
You would be looking at a totally new intake system (or a modified OEM one) with an aftermarket ECU to run this if it is confirmed to be a semi peripheral port. It is a great setup but likely a bit of a Frankenstein. Looks like it was running N/A with an IDA carb and probably a distributor for ignition? Do you have a picture of the whole engine bay or setup? That might paint a better picture for us.

don’t mind the wiring mess lol, im getting a haltech 750 elite ecu too with a premium wiring harness. But yes you are right, i am running a distributor and msds
You will need to pop those rags out of the two round ports to see if the passage is smooth and direct into the engine. I cant tell for sure, but still suspect its a semi-pp
That would require the corresponding Turblown UIM or OEM FD UIM / TB / Etc.
I suspect you've got some work ahead of you to convert this to EFI. At very least you will need the whole intake setup (plus injectors/fuel system), crank angle sensor, ecu, wiring, and an OMP system unless you plan to premix.
I had a lot of fun with a N/A 13B and Weber carb. What's the main reason for wanting to go EFI? Do you plan to turbocharge it?

way down the line i want to turbo it, but i had empi carbs on (volkswagen brand) and it was just running too rich and it would not adjust so i wanted to go back to fuel injected with a haltech ecu. but thanks for helping me out ill send more pictures when i get the chance

definitely a semi-peripheral, like what 1badFB was saying.
i would think the simple/simpler thing to do would be to get an IDA-style throttle body for the modified manifold you posted in your original post. they make plenums for IDAs, so whenever you decide to go turbo, you won't have to start from scratch.
get a crank angle sensor - the Gen 2 parts will directly replace your distributor - ignition will be done. then, just get the air, coolant, MAP and TPS sensors, and you should be good to setup your Haltech.
