Microtech MT 12 with Map Sensor

Dear all, I am a newbie here,...and would like to get some information regarding the following, I am replacing my 13BT engine that use crank angle sensor with 13BTT engine from 1993-1993 mazda that use a map sensor . and the ECU that I use is Microtech MT 12.

My question is, can i just change the engine and use MT 12 with the map sensor or I need to move the whole front part of my 13BT engine to the 13BTT in order to get the crang angle sensor in place. Please advise.

Note : I am using a single turbo

Best regards

You will need to have your MT-12 reprogrammed by Microtecht to accept the 13B-REW triggers. Or, you will need to swap your 2nd gen front cover onto the REW so you can use the Microtech as is...but I'm not even sure that is possible because for the FD, Mazda changed the front stack so the 2nd gen hub and CAS drive gear might not fit.

Hi Aaron, thanks for the advise,....I thought that I need to swap the 2nd gen front cover as well,...I also get the info grom Microtech that my MT 12 is already to old for it, suprisingly my mechanic inform me that he manage to turn on the engine with the original 13B Rew sensor map, what surprising me more is the engine works well and all of the indicator on the MT12 unit are all green.

I am going to take it to dyno next week to see what I can do more with it.

Regards,
