Ignition Issue 1987 Rx7 FC
Ignition Issue 1987 Rx7 FC
A couple of months ago I went to start my fc and it just wouldn't crank. About a year ago I replaced the starter, I have tested the battery and it works fine, it seems like there isn't power getting to the starter because I don't hear it click or spin or do anything. I have a feeling it is a wiring issue but I am not sure.

There's a rubber/plastic stopper which disintegrates, and prevents the switch from actuating. This prevents the starter from getting the start trigger.
If you're willing to get under the car, simply short the solenoid terminal to the B+ post with a screwdriver or piece of wire. ENSURE THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL. This is the easiest way to identify if you've got an issue with the starter or starter signal.
Fixed
Pretty commonly caused by a fault with the clutch interlock switch.
