Hey guys, new here and just bought myself a black FD3S.

However, I am having trouble finding out the VIN of the car.

Long story short, here in Australia back in the 90's there was a loophole for importing cars for "parts" but somehow people were able to register them once landed. These cars were given new VIN's which start with 6T9REP and the original VIN's were removed.

I now have a car with one of these new VIN's and all I am left with is the original body number which is FD3S-106548

I would like to find the original VIN of the car but am having trouble finding it. I am hoping I can somehow find it by matching it with the body number.

I have called Mazda Australia but they only have records of Australian cars.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

 

That body number is the original vin.
