fouled ngk spark plugs
so the other day i started sputtering really bad and i decided to head up to the local parts store and pick up some new spark plugs. i bought the correct one, two leading and two trailing. so i go home pop the hood and start replacing them one by one. come to find out that some idiot had put in 3 leading and 1 trailing. so thats not even the best part. all four were charred black and nasty looking. obviously fouled. i just thought i would share that with anyone who cares. i am a newbie to the rotary but even i had the smarts to do some research before i did even a simple task.

since ur dealing with leading and trailing specific plugs, i think fc. but seeing ur user id, i take it the car is an fd.

Yep. Can't get much better than the stock NGK plugs. I get mine from rx7.com. I change them roughly every 10-15k miles. Rotaries love fresh spark plugs.

Could try a different temp plug, Racing beat has a good write up on spark plugs for the rotary.
