first time swapping engine need help.

hello everyone, i am doing my first swap ever on a 1990 NA fc. And i am stuck at the engine harness due to not sure how it should be tuck. it is tuck under the rat nest going from oil dipstick toward front then to the other side? or some other way? plz help me and when bolting the transmission on, one of the censor on the cylinder clutch broke off due to old age. can anyone also tell me wat that censor is for? and do i need it to start the car. thanks you soooo much guys.

It's a condenser and not a sensor. They (two of them) are used for the ignition system and the oil pressure sender. Neither are really necessary, just make sure the dangling wire is taped off so the bare wire does not come in contact with a metal (ground) surface.

1. i don't know (however, if you feel up to searching, you can look at thread called She Followed Me Home, Honestly by the user Clokker. if i recall he has some good disassembly/reassembly photos on his Rx-7. the thread is HUGE though, so finding them may take some time.)

2. i believe that is the condenser that dampens the oil pressure gauge.

#1 in the 1st pic is the hose which comes from the BAC. The BAC has a tube open on both ends. One side receives coolant from the water pump housing and the other side of the BAC sends the coolant on to the thermovalve (pictured as #1).

Thanks Satch. Anyone know where the 2 hose go to?

Look at the White plastic object on the rear of the throttle body which you have a pic of. One hose is capped while the other one is not. Find where the uncapped one leads to. If it makes its way to the front of the throttle body and plugs into the double throttle diaphragm then the capped port is to run to the manifold just bellow the capped port which might well appear in the pic. The FSM has a diagram of this.

And you'll need a check valve too. (this info was already stated above).

Look at post #17 and focus on the green highlight.

The 2nd pic hose runs to a port just behind the oil pedestal and to the right of it (port faces the fire wall).
