1985 stalls under load

i have a 1985 rx7.the engine has been redone street ported.has a weber 45 dcoe side draft carb. have gone through this thing with a comb.but i can have the car in the garage and running for hours on end but when i get it out on the road after about 10 minutes it will stall out like its out of fuel but the bowl is full. can hear it trying to pull the fuel into the engine but nothing. any help would be appreciated.

if ur using the stock pump, i don't think it's enough pressure to feed a weber.

Replace the fuel filter if you haven't. They are known to be a bottleneck in these cars, and even a very slightly dirty filter will choke the engine out.

However, you say that when this happens the bowls are still full. Strange. Carbs don't work/not work. They usually either work or don't. I would start taking a very close look at the ignition system, which can cause a lot of issues that can seem carb related...

i replaced fuel filter yesterday seem to have helped alot. it was full of rust. car sat for 7 years before i picked it up.yes i know the carb still having fuel in and cutting out is not right but i keep a flat head screw drive in car to check it.its not a stock pump and i have checked pressure and volume on the out put of pump at carb. as far as the ignition goes by them time i get the car back to the house every thing works fine and ohming out the coils they come back with in spec 1.15 ohms. compression is good on the engine.like i said it sat for 7 years so it is a project. thanks for the advice.
