What are your plans for the ITA/IT7?

Going to run it in the IT7 or ITA class this summer at Summit Point and VIR to get a feel for her. Then come winter start doing some work to take in to production class racing.

Sweet! Yep I am in the process of looking for a built IT7 for SCCA Club Racing too. You should bring it out to the NASA Midatlantic autox @ VMP this Sunday for some shake down runs!

Now how in the hell did this thing get all the way to the second page...

Anyone know the value of an FC rear hatch WITH the wiper? I haven't seen one in any of the FS threads, and I even ran a search...

alexran24 04-11-13 11:45 AM

Hey guys, so i am trying to build up a Facebook page of East Coast Rx7 Owners, if you have a FB account you should all join. Treat it as a lounge, meet people in your area, find some deals on parts, sell some parts, find out about events and meets that you might not be aware of. This is new so its building in numbers as i am working to make it better. Its crazy how i met some RX7 people within 30 minutes of me and had no clue.... thanks for reading guys hope to see you on there https://www.facebook.com/groups/288767917921242/

I think I added myself on it. There are 2 groups?

I have a fan shroud located in Louisa, VA. On a radiator you should just buy new rather than risk old plastic parts. Got an aluminum unit for my FD that I've been running for a while from radiator barn for cheap.

All I need is the shroud, I just put radiator incase someone didn't know what a fan shroud was.

Is there anyone in this area that is reliable on rebuilding engines? My 13b needs to get a street port soon.. I will have motor out the car and taken over to whomever shop.. Trying to get the best price for this Economy lol ~ thanks everyone also is there a set list of parts to the tee that are used on the rebuild and/or most often replaced parts so I can start piecing them together?

Www.Rotaryresurrection.com is about 7 hours from Richmond, he knows what he's doing and will do honest work for a fair price.

As for anyone closeby that's very local I don't know of anyone.

A rebuild and streetport won't be considerably cheap , as the streetport itself runs usually around $400 and the rebuild $1300+

Assuming everything is reusable that's $1700 plus cost of shipping or gas to drop off and pick it up, you're looking at around $2000 total and he gives a warranty on his rebuilds.

There are some places in jersey and Pennsylvania, but they're probably more expensive and farther away.

Just for back from Starbucks Huguenot/River Rd. Gave a history lesson, met a dude with a '90 that he left at home, and wondered where the rotary people dwell.

What kind of history lesson??!

I was a regular a few years ago. I now live in Raleigh, so I can't make it as often these days.

is it remotely possible to make it street legal?

roondawg 05-13-13 08:55 AM

I drive it on the street now with antiqe plates. There are rules on how much and when you can drive it. It would take effort to make it a dd but not impossible. I have a good clear title.

Cookboy 05-18-13 07:39 AM

Roondawg, restreet that baby a little at a time. I have a kid seat permanently installed in my fb, give us a chance to leave mom alone once in a while. Where are you anyway? I'm in Richmond.

roondawg 05-19-13 01:55 PM

Actually I've got an 84 too for the street. Keeping that one! I'm 2nd owner just finishing up streetport weber sd setup then maybe ill meet up with the richmond crowd. I'm over in staunton va. 1.5 hrs west of richmond. This will be my 3rd kid so thinking rx8 is in my future. Or rotary caravan...anyone tried that swapyet?

Cookboy 05-19-13 10:54 PM

Roondawg, sounds great! I'd like to take my 4yr old to the Museum of Frontier Culture sometime this spring/summer. After Memorial Day. I'd love to meet another gen 1er semi local.
