Loosing the desire to complete my 3rd gen - Help!
1 Attachment(s)
The correct documentation to complete my 3rd gen update is really hard to come by. Every post is different than the others (No consistancy). I know I have taken on a large update (Replacement motor/Fuel/Single/FMIC/removing the non essentials). I really want to complete the mods myself, but damn this is really time consuming/confusing. Ideas for the best place to find the information (That is complete/correct)? Pics would be even better?
Really want a complete vaccum diagram next. I have found at least three versions, and they all have questions or missing nipples (Not being funny). Installing Custom GT35 - Mounted and plumbed Custom Mani - Mounted Tial Wastegate HKS SSQ BOV Greddy 2 Row - Nothing yet Greddy Elbow - Bolted to the TB Greddy pullies - Installed K2RD Secondary fuel rail - Done - (Including the soldering the resistors) 1600's - Done SX FPR - Done (I think) Supra Fuel pump - Done Rats nest completely removed (Maybe my mistake??) Well I don't have the resources you need, but since I took a basically empty engine bay and installed a totally different drivetrain, I can relate to what you're going through.
When you think about the number ofthings you have to do, just make a list and check them off one by one. "Rebuild entire car" doesn't give you enough motivation so you break it down by things like "remove rat's nets" and "install brake rotors". Within each subject on the list, include thing that go along with it: If you're changing rotors and calipers, you don't need to think of replacing calipers as a whole separate project - since they come off anyway, it's just another step to changing rotors. Bottom line is it's very difficult for most people to "just do it" when faced with a large project. I re-wrote my list about 15 times and it's still not finished (my interior is held together with like 3 bolts). When you do 5 things, cross them off, then make a new list. You will keep finding thigs to add, but eventually it will get shorter and shorter, and the next thing you know, "Drive the car" will be the last item on it. Good luck. |
