Spark Plugs and wires
Sounds like a basic topic but I would like to know if anyone has done any real dyno testing of sort to find out what is the best type out there. There ones that I'm kinda intersted in are the NGK Iridium mostly about the sprakplugs and not too sure on wires.

Not sure but Ngk and Accel 8.5mm wires seem to always work for me! :icon_tup:

no dyno tests from me, but i've found that NGK B_E(S and IX) plugs have made a world of difference in terms of fouling. i started using them about 5 years ago while i was trying to get my Dell and fuel system to play nice with each other. i used to foul the stock plugs left and right. NEVER happened with those ones. i'm even trying to see if they will fit my Rx-8.
as for wires, i've converted from Ultra to Magnecor now. however, i have used NGK wires way back in the day. overall, no appreciable difference in terms of performance and/or reliability. |
i dont think there is much in wires, as long as they are working correctly you should good to go

Trailing is shorter in the rx-8... actually both rx-8 plugs are slightly shorter than rx-7 plugs.... The 7 plug is something like 21.5mm (IIRC) and the RX-8 plugs are 21mm and 19mm I believe...
