In addtion, there are a few opportunities to have some fun (with some work), in the mountains this summer.

On May 17th, the Pikes Peak Sports Car Club will be staging an autocross at Castleview HIgh School in Castle Rock. It is the semi official warm up event for the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup.Though there may be a lot of Mustangs, it is open to all cars. The event will be held on the "back" lot behind the school. This will be a new site for all of us. We hope to see you there. Regards, The Pikes Peak Sports Car Club Team. http://www.ppscc.net/smf/index.php
RE Drifter; I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a completely different animal. It will be held July 19th on Pikes Peak. Put PPIHC into a search engine. You can get the details there.
My club stages amateur autocrosses. A fun day of precision driving. Some more precise than others. ;-)
We are staging an autocross at Pikes Peak International Raceway the same day. The crowds don't overlap too much.
Hope this helps.

^ okay cool that anwsers a lot for me I do want to watch the Hillclimb but the event that your club does sounds way fun too I live in so cal so if I do decided to come out it may only be one time this summer.
I/we appreciate that enthusiasm. You are certainly welcome to join us. That being said, I'm sure there are autocrosses nearer you. The hill climb can be a unique experience. Come out for the hill climb.
