I started to collect the parts for my single build, but I'm going to try to pass emissions before I tear the car apart. I have the new ignition coming, so I'll put that in with new plugs before I attempt to pass. I was always on the fringe with the Bonez hi-flow cat, so the stock cat should pass no problem.
I'll contact you when I get things ready if that's ok.
I'm still undecided between the BW 7670 IWG and the BW 8374 IWG. I'm also looking into E85 and the requirements there. I'm in no big hurry, so I want to do it right the first time.

I'll be leaving this Saturday for my 4 month trip to Africa, but my roommate will still be here so let me know and I'll set something up with him or give you his number if you're ready before I get back.
That's a tough decision. I really miss my 7670 sometimes, the low end brutality of it. But the 8374 still spools really fast and it lasts longer in the upper RPM range. So it's really just about what you're going to do with the car. Another thing is the 7670 would have a ringing sound during cruising. Not accelerating, just holding speed. And my roommate noticed that on his FC now since he's installed his 7670, so I'm wondering if there's some kind of harmonic noise with the rotary and that specific turbo.

I PASSED EMISSIONS!!!
I decided to give it a shot with the Bonez hi-flow cat to see how close I could get. I checked the air pump was functioning correctly, got the car good and warm and it friggin passed. I think the new ignition helped, too.
The guys at the test center were great. One employee was an RX-7 fan - he knew all you Springs guys. He said he owned an FC.

Hey I keep forgetting to contact you. We don't have anything planned as of yet, but I'll be leaving again soon and need to get together. I know some others want to get together too. I'm just waiting on my personalized plates now and doing a few little projects here and there.

Ok guys, I completely forgot to post this until now, but there is a meet at the Park Meadows mall just off I-25 on Saturday, July 28th, going from roughly 11am to 5pm. I figured we'll meet there first since they have a big parking lot and it's somewhat equidistant for everyone on the front range, and we can head off from there and do other things if we want too.

Awesome! Glad to hear it. Are you on Mile High Rotary Club on facebook? That's where I've posted about this and we have another guy from Boulder that's going to be there.
What do you mean, don't take you back to C Springs?

Ok good, glad you found the group! Oh ok lol. No I was planning on staying in that area up there for the whole meet, I'm just not sure what else to do. Go karts maybe? IDK
In the future I was thinking about doing a meet down in Trinidad or somewhere near there so we can meet up with the Albuquerque guys. And then if we get in touch with any owners in WY we can meet up north of Denver.

Mechanics in CO
I’ve been looking at an 82 rx7 to buy but I’m only gonna do it if I can find a mechanic that specializes on rotaries or at least has some background with them so I that I can get the engine rebuilt upon buying it. If anyone knows of any mechanics that they could recommend that would be amazing! Preferably around the northern colorado or Denver area but I’d be willing to drive farther if needed
