Denver D.J.'s

Hey there all!!! I have been pretending to be a d.j. for about the last year and im trying to get out of the basement and do some parties. If any one out there needs a d.j. i do not charge anything( im not that good, yet). I usually like to keep to techno. I like to do a mix of breakbeats, house, trance(all types), drum&bass. If any one want to have me come spin or even just kick it shoot me a pm. Im always down to party.

For the love of the beat, please don't try to mix trance and DnB... I've seen many DJs try. I've seen many more try and die. Only a handful of DJs can really pull it off. At least segue with some ambience!

Oh... and "techno" is NOT an umbrella term. It's a genre in of itself (or a sub-genre of "electronic music) ... please remember this.

Anyway, go to www.unnet.net - there's quite the scene happenin' over there. Lots of parties, lots of party kids, lots of ****-talking... all Colorado/ four-corners area local. Tell 'em Crashx7 said hi... Actually, don't... only a few of em would actually remember who I am anyway.

Myself: I'm the jaded ex-raver that everyone talks about... either that or the elitist IDM head. Which are both pretty much the same thing; and equally hated among the scenesters.

I don't really go toparties anymore, though I still listen to the music. Once in a GREAT while I'll hit up an outdoor (mountain or desert) renegade party. Have fun with it... the scene's in an interesting place right now. Not underground, not mainstream, more of the black hole that everybody wants to forget about.

Thanks for the info I'm always up for a little education. I pretty much spin as a hobby and am not looking to do any thing real big. When I said parties i should have explained that i meant something on a smaller note, I was thinking more house party type situations. Im pretty new to the scene and just trying to pick up what i can. You are totally 100% correct few if any can mix trance with D&B. I am not one who can i was simply saying that thoes are the types that I spin. In all honesty i don't think that you can mix much with trance.(just my personal opinion, not that there is anything wrong with trance.) I would like to chat with you and learn a bit more about the music you seem to have alot of knowledge on the topic.

Just have fun with it and don't let the jaded folk get to you. And don't fall prey to the whole "DJs don't dance" bullshit... if the music moves you, then move to it.

I wanted to hit up one of MESS's full moon parties this summer but I never had a chance. I also hear that the PTLF had a reunion. I owe Schmid-E some tapes when I get the opportunity to see him again.

If we both attend the next RX-7 meet (whenever that is...) then maybe we could chat about the music.

Peace.
