Any one in IL with a rotary engine compression tester?
Looking for any one in IL that can rent me or even come to me and help me do a compression test on my motor. Reason being I want to know if I should keep moving forward with this engine or going with the v8 crowed. Ever since Aspec did my Mazda remand swap I have never been a 100% with this motor. I don't even know if I got what I paid for. For all I know I might have just gotten a used motor off of one of the other fd customers in their shop just wanting something better. I was young and didn't know any better and I sure as hell paid for it. After close to $5k I would have expected a clean brand new looking short block but instead I got back a dirty grease built up block, which to this date still leeks oil out of the oil pan. I got told it was a Mazda reman but I really don't think it has ever been. Car has always ran like crap and after getting it back from them it still doesn't boost right. So if any one can help a fellow forum member continue this rotary trip I would really appreciate it. Sorry to bash Aspec again but they and only they know the truth. I have been back to them due to a thread I made because of my fd coming back missing all sorts of parts. Well if interested in that thread just look it up you should find it on here still. They did get back to me and tried making it better and installed most of the parts but ended up making me more worried because their mechanic decided to trim my IC piping and not cleaning the metal shaving and letting me drive all the way home and to me noticing all the metal shavings inside the piping, and also damaging my Greddy IC in the process. Thanks a bunch
