X4 compatability with LT10s EMS

Well my LT10s finally came in the mail today, and its setup with the 12,000 rpm upgrade (wont be reving that high probably but its free... so why not), 30PSI upgrade and laptop adaptor. It was supposed to come with the X4 ignition box that I ordered at the same time through a US company. The US company forgot to specify to microtech that the LT10s would be using an X4 and not the stock coils.

My question now is do I need to run stock coils, or can I use the X4 with any LT10s? I've never heard of them having to be reprogramed to use the X4 box, but I could be wrong. My plan was LT10s to x4 to 4X MSD 8207 coils (have the coils already, dont want to waste them). Thanks in advance, Brad.

You have to find out if it is set up for the multi coils and maybe insteead of having the x4 matbe it have the built in igniter you to find that out and the you could make the decision of using the coils

How can I find out if its set up for using the multi coils? Its the newest version so it doesn't have the built in igniter as part of the the LT10s box.

ask the person who you bought it from or look at the instruction manual it might be able to tell you something in the wiring diagram

Well I got the official reply from microtech, the box has to be reprogramed. It comes set up to run wasted spark mode with the stock system unless you specify you want the x4 box to run individual coils. Guess it's going back... anyone know the rough turnaround time from microtech on this kind of upgrade?
