water temp sensor

this is getting pretty annoying, this stupid sensor have gave so much problems i wish there was a way to get rid of it, recently i disconnected the sensor because i was working on the car, you know just unplugged the sensor, well when i plugged it in again the microtech does not want to read it, the red light just keep blinking. this is like the fith time it does it, but this time it doesn't want to work, what should i do?????

You might find your wiring is shitty, or your plug is damaged, or possibly your sensor is half dead.
Id check the wiring, change the plug AND SENSOR, preferably for new items or good second hand items.

The harness connector is often baked and falling apart by the time the car gets a standalone. You can replace the connector with a standard fuel injector connector from any auto parts store. You just need to grind the little offset tab off of the water temp sensor (use a file...you'll see what I mean when you compare the connector and sensor).
