Timing with a Microtech

When setting the timing is it done at the CAS or throught the Microtech? Forgive my ignorance, this is the first time I have had an engine with a CAS (and the first time with a microtech.....lol)

You must put the timing lock in the microtech on.

stick the CAS in the right place, put a timing gun in, make sure the light flashes on the leading mark -5. then the rest is done from microtech.
