Is there any sort of pictoral installation guide?

Bought an LT-8S from snowball... I have the instruction manual, but it's less than clear.

Wondering if anyone has pics of their setup or some sort of guide to the harness that might help more than the manual does.

sit down for a little while and just fallow each wire to where it goes. Somewhere inbetween at it for a little while and scratching your head it will become very clear and the instructions will become very clear. Good luck!

Yes wiring the microtech looks like a big task and it certainly is but I am not good with electrical stuff and I was able to wire it up right on the first try. Just look at the wiring diagram and the colors/wires on the car and harness.

I would recommend taking off the stock harness first and cutting out the systems you need should only be the wiper motor for a Turbo Model.

Then just take your time cutting and soldering the wires. Please see my thread in this section that might help you walk through some of the questions I had while installing the microtech.

I have enough pictures of various Microtech installs, so I can probably write one...

i think a fuel pump relay wiring pictoral would help most people out(along with myself). Most of the other stuff is just cut, and solder

+1 . and what relay to buy because mine didnt come with a relay.

Aaron Cake 02-08-07 08:44 AM

I don't understand the confusion regarding the fuel pump relay. :) It's just a relay, and the hookups are the same as any other relay. +12V (pink wire) to terminal 85. Green wire (it's green, right?) to terminal 86. Battery connection through 12 gauge wire and appropriate fuse to terminal 30, fuel pump connects to terminal 87.

All the stock fuel pump wiring is ignored.

do you recomend any of these? http://www.partsandaccessories.com/s...ump_relay.html

BOSCH generally makes good relays. There's nothing special about a "fuel pump relay" that makes it different then any other automotive relay.

shit i feel retarted, mine did come with a relay, i guess i just overlooked it......now all this "pin 87" and "pin XX" makes sense.

Yea....I wouldn't trust a cheap relay from a discount store. I had one fry on me.
I bought a bunch from Ebay. I never had a BOSCH fail me.

One big thing that was a problem for me was that some of the wires in the harness were different colors on either side of a connector, in my car this was true with the TPS, the IGN wires, and the CAS.

Also on the CAS I was kind of thrown off because 4 (yellow, light blue, red, green)wires come out of the wrapped small cord that plugs into the ECU, however where it connects to the ECU only 3 wires go in. They must combine somewhere in the wrapped wire because they are just grounds IIRC.

Good luck and post some updates!
