FL Q's for microtech installers ??

hello,Im changing a car from carburater to a LtX8 microtech with a 4 barrel throttlle body.Ive laid the harness but unfortunally im stuck and need some advice. Ok the car has 2 msd 6al that wire strait to the distributor 85 style not a crank sensor! It also has the 2 coils that plug strait to distributor leading and trailing. On the microtech do i ignore hooking up the crank sensor plug.Since im running a distributor? Can I still used the msd's boxes which are wired up to my distributor. How do i wire the ignition basically cause there's no igniter like on the t2 style coils.Basically just stuck trying to wire this microtech to the ignition side if anybody has advice please help!thanks

You still have to hook up the ignition coming from the ecu as you need the trigger to tell the ecu when to fire the injectors

You need to run the cas.

CRANK ANGLE SENSOR..
the distributor needs to go in the bin.
The ltx8 will only pick up a crank signal this way.

If you want to run your distributor, should have got a fuel only computer.

So get rid of the 2 coils and distributor, run the cas and 4 bosch coils. And your done.

ok if i install the crank angle sensor do i have to use the bosch coils or can i wire the "ignition out put" section strait to some FD3s coils . Just wondering on that and what about the 2X msd 6al's boxes are they not usable with the microtech.

No.

Your computer has the X designation which means it needs 4 seperate coils.

You can run 4 Mazda FC trailing coil packs that have had the ignitors stripped off them.

So let me get this strait I need 4x fc coils they all have to be trailing. So wire the microtech strait to the coils and elimnate the igniters. OK that sounds simple BUT why does it say in the handbook to wire the ignition output to the igniter and not the coils????

the "X" designation of your ecu means that the igniters are built into the circuitry already.

What about the pink 12+ wire that runs to the coils and the tach output which is the blue and white wire ?

Dont worry about running the pink wire to coil packs.
Run it to 12v ignition.

Tach out put is blue/white yes.
