no secondaries

hokay...
lt10s--
no secondaries, whatsoever!
% stage, rpm, map do nothing.

it cuts the primaries when it's supposed to stage...goes uber-lean, so that part's working.

i checked all wiring--good
checked secondaries with a battery--good
primary leads on the secondary injectors--fires up
all injectors have ignition power and make continuity with their respective pins on the ecu plug--nothing else.

fuel pressure is fine--no blockage on the secondary rail. we've just got no secondaries.

can anyone think of anything i missed before i condemn the ecu?

maybe your seconday injectors are not working correctly,
get them checked and make sure they are flowing correctly, it should run perfectly with all 4 running

try hooking the secondary drivers to the primary injectors with the staging off and see if it runs

doesn't the LT10 have a test mode feature like the LT8? if it does i would just turn it on and see if the injectors are pulsing, that would tell you if the drivers are working.

for me, i hope it's nothing...the thing is brand new.

i plugged in a couple more maps from known-good setups just to triple check that part and no difference. so the ecu got mailed out today. tim sounded kind of pissed off when i emailed microtech...he wouldn't answer any questions.

Well I emailed him quite a few times and he seemed to be a great guy!

I'm gonna have to email him for a repairing estimate I guess...

What I'm gonna do is simply to plug in a brand new LT8 ( a buddy's got one) in my harness and we'll see if it solves my problem

else i'm gonna have to borrow a laptop adapter and run into test mode...

ahhhhhhhhhh sometimes I think this project will simply never end....

well i pissed tim off a few months ago. he was claiming a pretty outrageous hp number from a gt35r, and i made a pretty harsh comment that i didn't think would get forwarded to him, but BAM--no tech support since then

he's the only employee of a professional company i've seen that will actually argue--like full on fight with someone via email...i like that though. he was all bitter and he speaks his mind...just had a difference of opinion on that one.

From what you say, we can consider this guy pretty emotive! I'm gonna have to take it easy with him!

I dont wanna have any difference of opinion with him. Seriously, I dont give a **** about **** like that... The only thing I want, is a FUNCTIONNAL LT8!!! if he wants to claim 1000HP from a civic DX, I'm gonna say : "yeah? really? really impressive numbers dude!" as long as my microtech gets fixed

My TII's been sitting in my garage and driveway for much too long to my taste since I've begun outrageous mods in one single shot.

I guess I should have mod it slowly...

can you share with me your setup--maybe it might not be your ecu. if it isn't, i'll help out however i can to get it figured out.

how long has it been in the car?
always done this, or just started?
intermittant?
injector size
fuel pump
staging parameters (rpm, map, and %)

and any other bs stuff you can think of. it'd be nice to find out it's something easy--even if it is a little embarrasing...that's how we learn.

guitar,

was that ecu a aux injector ecu?? did it say ver x.xx + AUX in the start up screen??

if it was that is probably why you had incorrect secondarys, you have to wire them differently,

i don't think so, but i'm not 100% sure...

can you explain how that works? i've never come across an ecu like that...all the microtechs i've done have been nothing special to speak of. pop it in and go for it...

aux boxes are for when you want to run 6 or more injectors, on the LT10 you have 2 primary triggers, 1 secondary triggers and 1 aux trigger,

i have set them up to run 4 primarys, 4 secondarys, 2 aux etc

the ecu is on its way to aussie-land right now so i can't check, but i guess i'll have an answer before too long. thanks for the help and info.

Have you heard anything about your microtech GuitarJunkie? I am having a similar problem to what you are describing i believe.

Also, turning on the secondary injectors when the secondary throttle plates were closed caused the injectors to squirt into a vacuum, but there is no aur flowing through those runners, or not enough for the fuel that was being supplied through those runners. I know i am probably preaching to the choir, but just in case you didnt already figure that out i thought i would give a little insight on that.

Damn, I am having a similar problem. The car has sat for a few months and now it goes really lean and wont go past my staging point. The test feature, however triggered the secondaries, which makes me suspect the ecu less. Maybe the injectors need cleaning because they are not opening fast enough????
I even took the fuel rail off, ran the test feature, and watched fuel spray out of the secondaries.
WTF??

I think it would be beneficial to make an injector pulse indicator out of some LED's to tell me for sure that the ecu is/is not trying to fire the secondaries. Should I simply put the - end of the LED in on the injector signal lead and the + end on the 12v constant. The LED would go on when the injector was pulsed. OR Should I put the + end on the injector signal lead and the - end to a ground? This way the led would go out if the injector pulsed. I dont know enough about electronic circuts, and I dont want to harm the ecu.
