microtech mounting

does anyone really know if there is a certain way to mount the microtech ecu to the car? Can you use the original ecu holder or do you have to custom fab sumthing up..

I've got mine in the glovebox. It's a perfect spot because all of the warning lights are visible, the serial connection is very easy, and you can close the glovebox door to hide it when you leave your vehicle.

I used the original ECU holder, in the stock location.

You have to add some holes though, it wont bolt right in correctly.

Mine is where the stock ECU was located, but bolted upside down to the ECU cover. The actual ECU area has been replaced by the auxillary fuse and electrical panel. The Microtech is so thin that there are many mounting options.
