Microtech isnt adjusting the timing

It just doesnt adjust it. The reading is always at 00*. WTF!! I know That there is an ignition map there, it just doesnt read it. The car idles great and you can drive it with no load at low rpms. But as soon as you go to 10" vac and a little more throttle, it breaks up.

The timing check is off and there are no errors.

Thanks,

J

check your wiring and make 100% sure it is not in timing check modes

I know all the wiring is correct, this would be the 3rd time I have installed a Microtech. Plus it runs great, you just cant go past 50% throttle.

I am 100% that it is not on timing check. I thought about that also, but timing check is off.

Well, I am now getting a RPM error, so I will check to see if I hooked the ground cable to the CAS sheilding and make sure that it isnt resting on an ignition wire.

I tried to help you via pm but you didnt reply to any of my questions?

Is your tps switching over from 00 to 01 as soon as you touch the throttle?

Problem has been sorted.

Turned out his OPT_TIMMAX was set too low.
