I picked up a laptop dongle but I keep getting a cannot connect to ecu message. I am running a windows 7 os. Any ideas? Thanks!!

 

I had the same problem with the dongle and usb to serial adapter. Have you gone into your hardware manager to the adapters properties and selected com port 1? If so all you have to do is select that port in the LT software and should be in good shape

 

I did that and still getting the no connect message?

 

it is compatible with windows 7, make sure that you have the usb adapter driver installed and usb set to com port 1.

 

I did install the driver and the manager says it's working properly. I also did as in the other post says to change to 19200 and turned off the FIFO . I'm stumped and fustrated

 

get window xp or 2000

 

make sure you install the driver from the microtech website. that what made mine work
