Well Jon
I don't think my fuel upgrade is going to be done by the time you get here since the surge tank system is a bit more complex and expensive then I thought
Plus my turbo still has not been overhauled by Rolo
and other little things
So I'm just going to keep the car at 14PSI
till probly next year after the holidays

cye soon
Roger

That's cool Roger.
I'd be more than happy to take it for a run how it is & see if we can improve on the way it's going now.

Jon,

You should post a tenative schedule to where you will be on what days. I am in the Los Angeles area but would drive down to San Diego just to chat if I have the days off of work. My MT won't be up and running until some time next year, maybe you will have to come down for Sevenstock 7!

rxeng 11-24-03 03:53 PM

I was looking at going to sevenstock this year but the dates are too close to our Four & Rotary Jamboree.I had 12 customer cars racing at the event & wouldn't be real popular if I dropped everything the week before & did a runner to the USA!!! LOL
I will know in the next few days what my movements will be while I'm in California.I'll let you know as soon as I do.

I will then be heading to LA for a couple of days to do some more tuning.

Jon, How much for your throttle body inlets for the series 4/5? Also how do you attach the piping to them as they don't seem to level out or have a rim or bead on the edge to hold the hose on? Do they clear the oil filler neck?

I'm not sure who you are as I am relatively new at this game. A-spec tuning in Chicago installed a microtech this summer for me. Seems like they are a bit busy to get me tuned to perf, so I'm looking for as little help. I have a pettit street port, down pipe, non sequent. turbos (a-spec said microtech would'nt work with sequentials) and no other serious mods. Problem is, at 7000 rpm, hp flattens out. is this normal or is it a tuning issue?

rxeng 12-29-03 05:35 AM

It depends on how you mean by "flattens out".Yes the factory turbo's are beyond peak HP & torque by 7000 but the vehicle should still keep pulling reasonably well.It could be a tune problem or another problem with the car somewhere else that's totally unrelated to the tuning.
A spec were right in telling you that the microtech wont work with the sequential turbo's.However,I think that the non sequential mod is a good thing anyway.
Give the guys at A spec a call & see what they can do for you. They are good guys & I'm sure they will be able to fit you in sometime soon
