ignition question on microtech?
Hey guys, I was told that my HKS twin power will not work with my microtech LT12S with the new coils and x4 ignition. My question is, since im new to microtech, Do I need an aftermarket ignition amp like I needed my HKS twin power for my power fc. If so, what is needed. I have plans to run somewhere in the mid 20s for boost on race fuel. I have already ran 20 psi on my current setup, but now im changing to the microtech. Any and all info on the subject would be great.
Another question I had, Since i opted for the wideband O2 option for the microtech, is it possible to just run on a wideband O2 sensor. Or do i still need the stock O2 sensor in place. This is another area where im still new.
Thanks in advance!
Adam

you don't need to have an O2 sensor plugged into the microtech. it is only there for datalogging purposes. the microtech does not operate in a closed loop manner where it uses O2 sensor signals to trim the fuel delivery under constant loads.
once you are done with your tuning you can remove the O2 sensor and put it on the shelf.
