How to save maps to laptop adapter?

just wondering how you do it...couldnt find it anywhere..
and can you edit them away from the car once you save them?

its kind of hidden...at the start screen(the one it shows when you arent doing anything) you push the right arrow key, and scroll over and it has 4 memcal locations, first to save, then to load. anyway, all you do is pick one and scroll to it, then hold down the 'p' key for 3 seconds and it saves it. its also a good idea to name the maps first, but i forget how i did that...its in the manual, near the end.
